This fall we partnered with the Lifetime show Military Makeover with Montel to help a local veteran and his family. Don’t miss the second episode of Corporal Jacob Tabora’s story, premiering November 27th on Lifetime at 6:30 am!
We celebrated Christmas a little early this year and surprised this years Operation Christmas Comfort winners with a home makeover! Both Sergeant Ernest Michael Garcia and his wife Specialist CeCelia Ann Garcia are Army Veterans and Sergeant Garcia was wounded in Vietnam.
Ernest has been battling cancer for four years and his wife of 50 years, CeCelia takes care of both him and two of their granddaughters. The Garcia’s had been in need of some maintenance to keep their home safe and comfortable, so we took care of it all for them.

This week’s School Superhero is Jackie Day, the campus secretary at Allison Steele Enhanced Learning Center.
For the past 20 years, Jackie Day has been a dedicated to her career, the school and the kids.
Brenda Kuehner, who nominated Jackie says, “Jackie is a driving force behind Allison Steele Enhanced Learning Center thanks to her genuine care for the students. All the kids love her and many former students maintain contact with her even after they graduate. Jackie wants to see every kid succeed, and it shows.”
It sounds like Jackie truly goes above and beyond her duties as campus secretary! More caring adults in the lives of our kids is always a good thing!
