40yo female with a very large left L4-5 extruded disc herniation resulting in left L4/5 nerve root compression and radiculopathy with #sciatica and #footdrop underwent outpatient minimally invasive discectomy. Huge disc fragments were readily removed. Home the same day.

This is a patient who presented with a large left-sided C6-7 extruded disc herniation resulting in compression of the exiting C7 nerve root. He presented with significant pain, numbness and weakness of the left triceps. He was indicated to undergo anterior cervical discectomy with total disc placement utilizing the @zimmer_biomet Mobi-C prosthesis. This was performed as an outpatient surgery with surgical time approximately one hour. He returns now two weeks after surgery with predominant resolution of his preoperative neurologic symptoms. His strength continues to improve as the nerve continues to recover following decompression.

We saw our patient, Marthena, back today after her left-sided two level minimally invasive neurologic decompression at L4-S1. She is three months out from surgery and her prior left leg symptoms remain resolved!
