Reunited and it feels so good! Sisters Dorothy and Gert get a long overdue visit. Dorothy lives in long term care at Jones-Harrison Residence and sister Gert in the Assisted Living side, so even they were separated during nursing home quarantine! We asked that they slip their masks down for a second so you can see their happy faces! Stay safe.

Earlier this month we celebrated an amazing milestone at Jones Harrison – Dolcie’s 100th birthday! Friends and family gathered on campus (socially distanced, of course) to share stories, exchange memories, and honor the beloved birthday girl. To her surprise and delight, neighborhood friends drove through in cars and on bikes to honk, wave, and wish her a happy birthday. “I didn’t think anyone would come, but they all showed up for me,” Dolcie said with a big smile. We capped off the evening with presents and birthday cards as well as delicious cupcakes courtesy of her family. Happy Birthday, Dolcie! Wearing a mask has become the new normal due to COVID-19, and masks are required at Jones Harrison. Masks not only ensure your safety but the safety of those around you. For a mask to be effective, it must be worn properly. It should comfortably fit over the nose and mouth without slipping. Here are other helpful reminders: • Wash your hands before putting on your mask. • Put it over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin. • Don’t put it around your neck, on your chin, or on your forehead. • Don’t touch the mask; if you do, wash your hands or use hand sanitizer. • Be sure to follow all social distancing guidelines and remain at least six feet apart.
