The Jones Heating and Air Crew
We understand that during this uncertain time, homeowners want to limit contact and keep folks out of their home as much as possible. While this is true, the hot summer months are coming soon and we want your HVAC system to receive the maintenance it needs to keep things running correctly. For this reason, we've devised a No Entry Required service call to maintain your cooling system. We will drop your new filter at the front door for you to change, and clean and check the outdoor unit- all things we would do for a regular service call, minus the home entry! We will ask you to make a few thermostat changes over the phone while we're there, and that's it! We're done! Your outdoor unit will be cleaned and inspected and ready to take on the heat of the season.
If you have questions about this method, please ask, as we want you to be informed and safe! Call 620-342-8343 and we will walk you through the process.
Thank you for your continued support- we value you!
We are eagerly ready to serve you - let us help! Thank you, Casey!

According to ENERGY STAR, you should change your furnace filter every three months — and more frequently during the winter when your heat is on all the time. Pet dander and other environmental influences may clog filters more quickly.

Contrary to popular belief, closing vents in unused rooms in your home is actually not a good idea – it makes your HVAC unit work harder.
Six ways to reduce your energy bill this Spring.
1. Switch to LED Lightbulbs.
2. Program you Thermostat.
3.. Install an Efficient Ceiling fan.
4. Seal Leaky Windows and Weather-Strip Doors.
5.Lower you Water Heater Temperature.
6. Install a High-efficiency Toilet or Shower fixture.
Did you know?
Originally , air conditioning was not designed with people in mind. It was actually designed for paper. A publishing company was having issues with printing due to the humidity in the room, which adversely affected the consistent application of the ink to paper. Cooling the air in the room was just a side benefit- controlling the humidity was the real goal. Willis Carrier was the inventors name.
And one of the first places to put air conditioning into widespread use was Movie Theatres. Which is were the trend " Summer blockbuster " started from.
Rotten eggs, anyone?
If you ever smelled natural gas in your home, you probably thought it smelled like rotten eggs. In reality, natural gas is odorless, so energy companies add an odorant (before it’s distributed through pipelines) to it in order for it to be detectable.
You may find your old air conditioner is no longer efficient. Consider replacing your unit with an energy-efficient model. They’re usually more expensive but thanks to federal tax credits and competitive prices, the prices are falling, and because they use less energy, you save in the long run, too.
When replacing your A/C, look for a properly sized unit. If you install an A/C that is too large, it will cycle on and off — reducing the efficiency of the system.
A great home improvement idea is to install home window film or tint to the inside of your windows. Not only can it help keep your house cooler in the summer, but also warmer in the winter.
SEAL THOSE CRACKS
Keeping warm air out is crucial to staying cool on summer days. Check for any cracks around the edges of windows and doors and apply caulk or weather stripping to seal them up.

5. BLOCK OUT THE SUN.
2. MAINTAIN YOUR EQUIPMENT.
When was the last time you swapped out your air conditioner filter? Routinely replacing the filter could lower your air conditioner's energy consumption 5 to 15 percent. Even with filters, your system’s evaporator coils can sometimes collect dirt. Check and clean these to help improve airflow.
BECOME A FAN OF FANS.
For central air conditioning systems, a ceiling fan will allow you to raise the thermostat setting about 4 degrees Fahrenheit without sacrificing comfort. If you have a window air conditioner unit, try using a fan nearby to spread cooler air to other parts of the room and house.
