Love this quote. I probably would have gone insane by now if I hadn’t made the hard decision to do art full time. It was a calling that I had been stuffing down for years but when I randomly took an art class at my local community college it was all over... the beast had been released and when I went back to my truck I couldn’t hold back the tears of pure joy and my purpose was so clear to me. It had bubbled out of me and I had no choice... no matter what it took... I HAD to start working my way towards it.
That was about 6 or 7 years ago and I haven’t regretted it yet. Clarity of purpose is such a powerful force and when I fully embrace it the Shefa flows... I’m still learning to let go and trust the process but it’s been a beautiful journey and I thank all of you for supporting me along the way!
Art has definitely been a huge part of giving me life. But remember... art doesn’t just have to be painting or sculpting... find your purpose and make it YOUR art!

Throw waaaaaaay back Thursday to the days I spent swimming in the May river along the banks of Aumi village in Papua New Guinea with my brothers and sister.
This was one of our favorite spots because this huge kwila tree (iron wood) had fallen and its trunk went way out over the river so it made for a great diving board.
I’m the little Mogli looking kid second to the right. 🤣 Good times!

It’s a beautiful morning and I’m feeling groovy! Working on the roof to my new forge space at my shop. I put up these massive beams last winter and am now putting pallets upside down for the first layer then will go the plywood and tar paper and shingles. Can’t wait for the extra space!

I’m super excited to be adding this gorgeous piece of equipment to my forge. It’s going to open so many doors for me this year and really allow me to make some more incredible things.
Just got the wheels on and rolled it into its temporary spot. Now to get the electrical panel upgraded and heat the forge up to start learning how to use it!

Good, bad, or indifferent I’m very grateful for all that 2020 brought to me personally! Sure it had its tough times but I learned so much! I was forced to think outside the box with my business and had to shift my plans a lot but huge things came my way and I’m better off for it now!
My heart goes out to those more closely touched by COVID-19 and I don’t want to downplay that at all and I send them light, but ultimately it’s always up to us on how we respond and view it.
2021 is only a few hours away to take some time to reflect and learn and be grateful for as much as you can... with that energy will open up the ability to create an even better year!
