COVID concerns addressed: This email and our responses from a patient last night.
Hello!
Since it is after hours...decided to email.
Being still concerned with the covid situation, wanted to know if staff wears N95 masks and shields We are wearing KN95 masks with an additional mask and a face shield over this. We have three air filters running full time and change scrubs and all protective gear between each patient.
Do patients put masks going in and right away after leaving the dental chair? Only patients with appointments are allowed in wearing masks. Masks are worn at all times except during treatment. We screen all patients before they come in and take digital temperatures on everyone. Each patient must use hand sanitizer (or wash with soap and water) before entering reception area or rest of office.

Examples on how not to wear your mask. Now that we are all wearing masks and you hear never before heard comments like, ‘Ooh, cool mask!’ I thought I would share a few tips.
Mask tip #1 - masks should cover both your mouth AND your nose. Even if it makes you mad. :-)
Reason #1 to wish 2020 would last longer: Dr Gillis and team are offering a $50 discount towards any treatment for new patients in our office through the end of the year if you mention this special. A frenectomy is a surgery to remove a strong band of tissue that is preventing teeth from moving during orthodontic treatment. We do this very gently and quickly with a laser.

Kyle is November's "Patient of the Month," and a handsome and fun patient he is! Kyle was tired of the chipping and wear of his front teeth and he wanted a durable, natural looking result. Porcelain veneers modified to cover and protect the edges of the teeth were completed for a wonderful result!
