BACK TO THE SHOW!
Just Dancing Studio will hold an audition day on Thursday, Nov. 5, for its 2021 debut Broadway showcase event, “Back to the Show,” set for next April. Students will prepare showcase routines for solos or groups to songs from Broadway musicals in selected dance styles. More details to come, so stay tuned. Students, mark your calendars for audition day and speak with your teachers about the opportunity!

WANTED: STUDENT VIDEOS!
It’s been a tough year with the pandemic. But as a studio we have lots to celebrate. Especially our students. We want to do a 2020 highlight film featuring them, so we’re looking for good-resolution video from competitions, our showcase back in February, or elsewhere. We’ll also schedule a day soon when a videographer will come to the studio to capture a day’s worth of footage for various uses. Please talk to your teacher about this project and give us a hand honoring all of you! Thanks!

As we at Just Dancing Studio observe Thanksgiving this year, we are mindful of our gratitude for our awesome team of teaching professionals. This is the region's top competitive dance school, and for one reason: these instructors. We are thankful for them and for all they do.
DANCESPORT SERIES HONORS!
Just Dancing finished the World Pro-Am Dancesport Series for 2020 in the top 1 percent of the world's 1,800+ participating studios, at No. 4. Individual top honors for our studio's dancers (all in the top 1 to 2 percent of their fields): Brian Ames, No. 2 top male; Terry Whittum and Patty Jordan, No. 6 top amateur couple; Agnieszka Strojek, No. 13 top teacher; and Natalie Ames, No. 30 top female.

SWEET OHIO MEMORIES
Six Just Dancing couples had planned to attend this week's annual Ohio Star Ball. But coronavirus had other plans and the competition was cancelled for 2020. So here's a quick throwback look at our 2019 dancing in Ohio. In these unprecedented times, we are thankful for the work ethic our teachers, coaches and students invest in preparation to compete; for all the efforts of competition organizers to keep dancers safe; and for public health officials who have been placed in impossibly tough positions to make the call whether events can proceed. Keeping perspective, we still get to do what we love... so many do not. All of this fuels recommitment to excellence in our approach so when some semblance of normalcy returns, we can bring our best, once again, to the competition floor.
