Older workers: When my dad was in his early 50's, his doctor told him he had to quit working, because his heart could no longer take the pressures of his job. He still had my younger brother and sister at home, and he was only able to leave his job because of Social Security Disability Insurance and VA benefits. I KNOW what these cases mean to hardworking people, and I want to help. If you have any questions, please call me.

Older workers: Social Security Disability Insurance benefits are very important. This video explains why.
Older workers: If you can't make it to full retirement age due to health conditions, look into SS Disability Insurance benefits before taking early SS retirement benefits. If turned down keep appealing!
If you're an older worker and your health prevents you from working to full retirement age, Social Security rules favor your claim for SS Disability Insurance benefits. However, most people need to appeal all the way to a Judge. Don't give up!
Reminder: After you request your Social Security hearing, you will receive a bundle of papers from the SS Administration. One of those papers is a form on which you can object to your hearing being held by video teleconference. Be sure to file your objection right away, because there is a time limit on making your objection.
