Karuna Yoga Buffalo is a nuturing environment where you can learn and practice all eight limbs of traditional yoga. In our studio, the ancient, healing practice of yoga is combined with mindfulness and other eastern practices to relieve stress, improve concentration, increase energy, and improve quality of daily living. Students can expect to become stronger, more flexible, and more balanced in their bodies, minds, and spirits. However, the practice isn't as much about becoming anything as it is about "unbecoming" everything that isn't you and drawing closer to your true, perfect nature. It is our philosophy that the closer we get to our true nature the happier we are and the more skillfully we can act upon the world. With a calm, strong body, a clear and focused mind, and an enthusiastic spirit, the things we are able to accomplish are limitless. A regular yoga practice gives us access to all of this and more. Students will see their in-studio practice gently spill over into their daily lives in a way they never thought possible. This practice is not an exercise, it's a lifestyle. Not a lifestyle that you impose upon yourself, but a gradual, gentle shift towards a happier, healtier you.
