Dr. Kasra Navabi is an endocrinologist who practices in Torrance. He is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism, and also in internal medicine. He deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to the endocrine/hormone system. Some of the common conditions he treats include Type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, cancers of the endocrine glands, pituitary disorders, parathyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis, obesity, insulin secreting tumors, abnormal menstrual cycles, hirsutism, loss of sexual interest, diminished testosterone production, cholesterol disorders and hypertension.
Dr. Navabi believes in the importance of listening to patients and educating them about their medical conditions so that they can make informed decisions about their health. He earned his medical degree from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, School of Medicine in Iran. He then completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in New York, and his endocrinology fellowship at the University of New Mexico.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Navabi conducts research on diabetes and general endocrinology, which has been published in several medical journals. He is also a clinical instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and a member of professional societies including The Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
When he’s not working, Dr. Navabi enjoys spending time with his family.
