Take a moment to review a few simple preparedness tips to help your family and home stay safe during storms and wind. #GoodNeighbor ow.ly/7Sd950Bv7T4
Has the area under your kitchen sink become a catchall?
Use these simple Dos and Don'ts to help keep your sink storage area safe and organized. #GoodNeighbor
-Don't keep cleaning supplies, bug spray, oven cleaner, or waxes under the sink. Store them on higher shelves to keep them away from tiny hands and paws.
-Don't store electronics, like handheld vacuums or blenders, under the sink. A leaky pipe could damage them.
-Don't store light bulbs under the sink. This high-traffic area may cause the bulbs to smash more easily.
-Do keep things like towels, a dustpan and sponges under the sink for easy access while cleaning.
-Do keep recycling, garbage bags and reusable grocery bags under the sink.
-Do keep plastic containers and their lids under the sink. Save space by nesting the containers and separating the lids.

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more…”
–Melody Beattie
2020 has reminded me to be thankful for the little ‘things,’ and to be present in every moment because tomorrow is never promised.
First and foremost, I am eternally grateful to God for bestowing his continued blessings upon my family. I am not speaking of ‘things’ that are materialistic in nature, but what’s truly important: That my family and I are in good health and the time he grants us each day to be together. HE makes all things possible.
Secondly, I am so very thankful for my family. Being a wife and mother to my wonderful children is a privilege and I know that they are my purpose in life; everything else is just background noise. My husband and I just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary and over 16 years together.
Thirdly, I am grateful to be an American. I have a deep love for my country and thankful for the freedom we have that is paid for by those who fight and die for it. This is a debt that can never be repaid, but I try to be an upstanding citizen in a humble attempt to show my gratitude.
Fourth, I am deeply thankful for my career. Katherine blessed me with the opportunity to work remotely for the last 6 years so I could be at home with my children. I truly have the best of both world’s; a career with limitless opportunities and also to be at home daily to watch my children grow up.
Lastly, I am grateful for coffee; every single last caffeinated drop…
God, family, country, career and coffee…. All the good ‘stuff.’
I hope everyone tries to slow down a little bit this Thanksgiving, be grateful for their loved ones surrounding the table and try to be present in each moment.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Please help us wish our very own Crystal a
🎈HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎈...
Have you ever found something you needed but didn’t even know you were missing it? That’s exactly what happened when I met Crystal in May while hosting my Dinner From A Distance Party.
She was coordinating the event for Maggie D’s and was amazing to work with! Fortunately for me, Crustal was accepting new clients and soon after we met, she became the social media and special event coordinator for my office.
Crystal has been awesome these past few months as we’ve hosted lunches for healthcare employees, sponsored Mercy Support Services annual Golf Tournament and most recently participated in the Middleburg Fall Festival.
She has an awesome husband Matt who not only serves our country, but also built the backdrop AND stuffed popcorn husks for our Fall Festival. Crystal is the proud mom of two incredibly well mannered and kind children.
I am super blessed to get to work with this AMAZING lady. Happy Birthday Crystal 🥳.
I hope you get the incredible day you deserve and that this year is your best trip around the sun!!
We had such a fun lunch hour yesterday with our team Thanksgiving! Food was eaten, doggies were snuggled & many laughs were had. Thank you for opening up your house for all of us Katherine! <3

As a young mom almost 20 years ago, I had the dream of opening my own business. As much as I wanted the opportunity of building a career as a State Farm Agent and small business owner, I equally wanted the opportunity be a role model for my daughter. A mom that she could look up to and be proud of. I wanted to provide well for my daughter and in doing so to also illustrate that women in business are both essential and valuable.
I knew that there would be great life lessons along the way, what I didn’t realize more immediately was that these lessons would be as much for myself as they were for her.
There was a lot of sacrifice on both of our parts. From the time she was just barely a toddler she would accompany me on many Saturday appointments. As she got older sometimes this meant homework on a Tuesday evening at a client’s kitchen table. As a single mom for several years there were many occasions that I experienced “mom guilt” and I wondered, it will be POSSIBLE but will it be WORTH it?
One of my favorite memories during Kaelyn’s childhood was sitting down at the dinner table and having a discussion about fun quotes and coined phrases. I would give her a blurb and she would “guess” who said it. The quote that night was “Give a girl the right pair of shoes, and she can conquer the world.” Kaelyn was about 8 years old at the time and in all seriousness she said “Katherine Baustert”!! I laughed until I cried and I said,
“No honey, I do love shoes but it wasn’t me who coined that phrase it was Marilyn Monroe”.
Today I have had the privilege of being a State Farm Agent for almost 16 years. There has been both great sacrifice and great reward. Do women entrepreneurs make a difference?
ABSOLUTELY they do!
They are both ESSENTIAL and VALUABLE. They own/operate 16% of small businesses in the United States providing over 9 million jobs. As a business owner, it has been so incredibly rewarding for me to watch my employees past and present come to work for me and begin to accomplish their financial goals, to provide for their families, and build their futures.
Oh and as a mom, that little girl grew up to be a beautiful young lady, who has a solid work ethic, and just landed her future career one month prior to graduation from her dream school, the #UniversityofFlorida.
So YES ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE and chasing your dream is ALWAYS WORTH IT!!
HAPPY WOMEN IN ENTREPRENERSHIP DAY!! It is a blessing and a privilege to be among you ~ and Marilyn was right all those years ago a great pair of shoes doesn’t “hurt” either!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
It’s that time of year that we take a moment to reflect on our blessings and share our gratitude a bit more publicly than we normally might. My team has done a fabulous job over this month sharing what they’re most grateful for and today it’s my turn.
As I’ve gotten older I’m astounded at how many of the “little things” I missed in some parts of life’s journey. I often refer to them as “miracles in the mundane” because so many times in our hectic schedules we miss the moment. A few months ago a quote was shared by my SVP Dan Krause during a conference call. In just an instant it put 2020 into perspective.
“When Everything is Uncertain all that is important becomes clear”.
I am first and foremost thankful for God and his incredible blessings in my life. I am forever grateful for his love, mercy, and grace. I only hope to be a reflection of those things in my own daily life.
I am grateful to be a mom. One of the most important, rewarding, and awesome responsibilities of my life.
I am grateful for my health. Too often we take a healthy body and mind for granted.
I am grateful for my family, my friends, and my State Farm Family❤️. My team both past and present have taught me some incredible life lessons. You’ve made me better both in the challenges and the triumphs —I thank you for that!
Last but not least I am thankful for my opportunity as a State Farm Agent. It is a tremendous privilege that has changed my life in so many ways, and allowed me the opportunity to change the lives of others. It is a noble profession with purpose —I truly couldn’t ask for anything more.
If you have taken the time to read my “novel” of thanks, I pray that wherever you are and however you choose to celebrate today your heart is even more full than your belly. ❤️
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Here at Katherine Baustert - State Farm, we don't just answer your phone calls. We actually live in & support this beautiful community of ours. That's one of the reasons why we have chosen to spotlight The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs as one of our community partners.
The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs has been providing food to those in need since 1989. They rely on food drives from local organizations to help stock their shelves. Unfortunately, due to COVID their shelves are very bare with many people in need this time of year. We are having a Can Food Drive this week & will be delivering our goods to The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs on Thursday. If you have any of the items they have requested, please drop them off outside of our office (2219 County Rd 220 #301, Middleburg) during normal business hours. We'll scoop it up & deliver it to the pantry this week. Please deliver all items by close of business Wednesday.
Thank you so much for your help!

1619 lbs of food! I still can't even believe it!
When I initially approached Katherine with this idea, we knew it was going to be a crazy undertaking. We both also knew it was an insanely busy time of year. But we also knew there was a need & we wanted to do our best to fill it.
This year has been tough on so many families. Families are having to rely on food pantries for the first time in their lives. People are losing their jobs. Businesses are shutting down. It's absolutely heartbreaking to see. To take just a little bit of time & effort to make this donation happen was the least that we could do for our community.
300+ paper bags given out in Black Creek Eagle Harbor Subdivision.

1 patient teenager.

Thank you Katherine Baustert so much for making this happen for our community.

Crystal Fetzner

New Year Insurance Tip #2:
Research car insurance rates BEFORE going car shopping! If you're thinking of purchasing a different vehicle - give us a call so that we can chat about your rates!

Have you thought about how you can make your home & family safer in 2021? For the next few days, I'll be offering some tips to help you evaluate your insurance needs & maybe even save you a little money in the process.
Tip 1: Check those grades! You could save up to 25% if your teen driver gets good grades! The savings may even last until your teen turns 25. Your most recent report card might be the key to lowering your premium. Homeschoolers may also qualify with other options, such as submitting evidence they have taken certain national standardized tests, administered within the last 12 months and ranked in the upper 20%.

Periodically, here at Katherine Baustert - State Farm, we get the opportunity to celebrate our clients. And we absolutely LOVE when that happens!
Today we are celebrating the son of longtime clients, Melinda and Christopher Logan, Scott Logan. Scott is an incredible young man that recently received the honor of Eagle Scout ranking. Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America. Since its inception in 1911, only four percent of Scouts have earned this rank after a lengthy review process.
Scott began his scouting journey in 2011 & has earned 34 merit badges in his time! He is also in the Leadership Jacksonville Class of 2021.
Congratulations on all of your accomplishments Scott! We look forward to celebrating many more wonderful things with you in the future!

We had our own little get together in the office on Friday for the BIG GAME today!
Here are a few pics from our
“PRE-GAME BEFORE THE BIG GAME”.
It was a house divided mainly between pizza and wings —Jake was team pizza. In the end we all came together on chocolate cake for dessert & the win!
Post your game faves below 👇🏻, we’d love to see how you’re celebrating!
And of course we’re always rooting for #TeamStateFarm & #KBon220 ❤️
Kaelyn went to purchase a phone and ended up talking to her salesman Eddie about State Farm Auto Insurance.
Eddie hasn’t been happy with his current carrier and Kaelyn mentioned making the switch & sharing how much money she’s personally saved with
State Farm’s Drive Safe & Save Program.
If you haven’t checked us out recently, follow Eddies lead! If you’re already part of our State Farm Family and haven’t taken advantage of the tremendous savings by enrolling in Drive Safe & Save —give us a call. You’ll be SO GLAD you did😉

Hi, I'm Joanne Turner and I'm a member of the Customer Care Team @ #kbon220. While I just joined Katherine's team in May of 2020, I've been in the insurance industry for more than 20 years. I've experienced a lot during my time in the insurance industry and it is because of those experiences I'm better able to assist our State Farm customers with protecting what matters most. Here's My "Why":
When you love someone you want to make sure that when you are no longer here to help provide, they will be ok.
Life insurance will help my husband pay off debt and pay for my final expenses. Our children will also receive part of the life insurance proceeds to help them. This creates an estate, tax free. There is also a living benefit in cash value if I should choose to withdraw or borrow from my fund. Life insurance is a way to tell your loved ones that you do indeed love them and care for them. I do not want to ever be a burden to them. That is why I have Life Insurance!

🌟 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT - Katie Larkin 🌟
My name is Katie Larkin and I am the newest team member of #KBon220!!
I was born and raised in Augusta, GA and lived there my whole life until attending college at Georgia Southern University, graduating from the Biology program this past May. After graduation I realized that I love working with people and knew that I belonged in customer service and sales. Being brand new to the insurance business, I am learning SO much and am happy to be a helping hand to everyone here.
My boyfriend and I moved to Jacksonville at the end of December and are so glad we did! Outside of work I love to explore our new home, check out the local restaurants, play tennis, and of course, I can’t wait for it to warm up so we can hang out at the beach! I also enjoy houseplants and gardening, spending time with family and friends, and like most girls – shopping!
I love how involved this agency is with the community and am excited to participate in all of our events! I look forward to my future here at Katherine Baustert’s office and I am so happy that I was given the opportunity to be a new member on this team of great ladies!
Hello, I'm Katie Hock and I am the quality assurance and compliance coordinator for #Kbon220. Over the last 8 years I have worked in many different roles with Katherine. Helping SF customers protect what they love the most is at the heart of what we do. As a professional and a mom & wife, protecting my family is what is most important to me. They are my “WHY” behind life insurance.
When I decided to get life insurance for my family, getting one for me was a ‘no brainer’ as it is just another step in taking care of them. That is what Mother’s (parents) do; we make sure that our families are always taken care of and try to lessen any pain and/or burdens at all costs. I would never want my family to have to grieve losing me, let alone them having to figure out how to afford my funeral or any debt that I may leave behind. I really thought of my husband during this process too. Life insurance is so much more than funeral expenses. My spouse works full time and has to travel frequently to support our family; so how would he find the time to do everything that I do on top of that? Would he need financial help with child care costs? Cooking? Cleaning? The kids college expenses?
While you cannot place value on someone’s life, you can certainly try to estimate how much they may need to help them.
The hardest part was getting life insurance for my children. That is a horrific thought that I did not want to face, but I had to. I had to ask myself some really hard questions as well. Will they proceed me in my death? Can they contract a serious illness later in life that effects their insurability? No parent wants to think about these things, but is it so very important to do so. With Covid-19 around now and more cases being reported with permanent damage after the virus is long gone, I am even happier I made the decision.
I gave them the gift of love. They may not realize it today, but one day (hopefully VERY far from now), they will.

It’s FRI-NALLY FRI-DAY and we are so looking forward to our time together at the “Unmask The Truth” 🎭Masquerade Ball 🎭 tomorrow evening!
#EndHumanTraffic #MakeADifference #UnitedWeStand
A little #ThrowbackThursday history for you today as our team prepares to attend Hope is Restored’s "Unmask The Truth" Masquerade Ball this weekend. Masquerade Balls were costumed public festivities in Italy during 16th Century Renaissance. They were for the most part elaborate dances for members of the upper class.
The #kbon220 team is looking forward to attending "Unmask The Truth" as Hope is Restored hosts their first Masquerade Ball. I am privileged as both a resident and business owner in Clay County to work with incredible organizations such as Hope is Restored. Together we are committed to making our community an even better place to live and work, while raising awareness of the realities of human trafficking.
The concept isn’t difficult. The plan is rarely ever the problem. The breakdown occurs typically in execution. Re-evaluate and tune up whether it be your business plan, your financial plan, or even your fitness and health routine. Re-focus, re-engage, and go get it!!
Direction determines destination. #wednesdaywisdom
#TuesdayTip
It amazes me at how reliant we have become on our Smart Phones--l mean the sheer panic that you feel when you can't find it --especially difficult if like me you're looking for it while talking on it 😉. Most of us can't imagine getting through the day without them, and trust me I feel ya on that!
With that being said, I am less amazed and more shocked at the number of people who have insurance on their phone but not adequate protection when it comes to their life insurance plan-- if they have a plan at all. In my experience it isn't that people don't want to plan for their family, it's that the task seems daunting or they are afraid the cost is outside of their budget. That's where my team and I come in. We're here to help you understand what your options are and you'd probably be surprised at how affordable those options can be. Often times significantly less than what you pay for your phone. Give us a call, we'd love to help answer your questions and prepare for the future!
