Mayor Walsh just signed the new law raising linkage fees 42% for the fund to create more affordable housing and job training for people who lost their jobs during COVID in Boston. It is only affecting the large scale commercial developments over 100,000 square feet, not the smaller residential developments. Looks like a good way to fund some desperately needed affordable housing development in the city without raising all of our taxes to pay for it.
