Kathy graduated Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2011. There, she excelled as an Honor Roll student and made numerous appearances on the Dean?s List. She received a Certificate of Merit (formerly known as a ?Book Award?) for earning the highest mark in Immigration Law. In her final semester, she was contacted to write of her favorite law professor, a nationally-recognized Constitutional Law professor, for a Harvard University Press study titled, ?What the Best Law Teachers Do.?
Kathy began her legal career as an associate attorney with Kutanovski Law Offices, a general practice firm in Lake County, Indiana. There, she focused her practice on family law and business law. Kathy recently moved to Fort Wayne and served as judicial law clerk for Judge Nancy E. Boyer and Judge Daniel G. Heath in the Civil Superior Division of the Allen Superior Court. Since joining Shilts Law Office, Kathy has immersed herself in Indiana family law and is extremely prepared to provide quality info and advise on all divorce and family law matters.
Prior to law school, Kathy devoted her time to operating and managing several of her family's businesses, including a health club, coffeehouse, and premier soccer club. Kathy is eager to incorporate her business sense and educational background to resolve unique and complex family law issues for her clients.
