Dr. Hinzman provides care and treatment for people suffering from a variety of psychiatric disorders. Her specialty areas include affective disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, and trauma-related disorders.
She utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, including medication management, dialectical behavior skills training, and cognitive behavioral therapies to help her patients regain their psychological health.
Dr. Hinzman is the service-area leader in developing positive patient-centered care from an empathic, whole-person approach, and she is the AHN Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute’s patient experience officer.
After earning her medical degree at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida, Dr. Hinzman completed her psychiatric residency at Allegheny General Hospital.
She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and American Osteopathic Association, and she has medical privileges at Allegheny General, Forbes, and West Penn hospitals.
