Good Morning, we hope you have a wonderful Monday!
This week, we are focusing on Parents. Who did you look up to when you were little? What memories do you have of your parents, or parent figures in your life? This week, we encourage you to take some time to think of them. If you are lucky enough to still have them in your life, reach out to them and let them know what they mean to you. If they have passed, find a special way to remember them. Share some special memories. They helped make you who you are today. They are your family. 💛
At Keeping Good Company “We treat you like family”. The KGC “family” enjoyed the beautiful day playing putt-putt! It was great fun!
Our motto at Keeping Good Company is “We treat you like family”. This week we are focusing on kids. Do you have kids (any age) or ones who have been like children to you? (fur babies and younger siblings can count). Think of how they have impacted your life. How have they changed your point of view? Kids can be blunt and honest. They may appreciate they beauty of nature. They help us see the world from their point of view. Take some time this week to reach out to your "kids" and let them know what an impact they have made on your life. They are your family! 💛

KEEPING GOOD COMPANY SENIOR CARE AT HOME, LLC Caregiver-A Career in Caring
This month we are finding ways to give the gift of self. Giving the gift of self is one of the most meaningful gifts you can give someone. One way you can give the gift of self is to write letters to seniors in nursing homes or facilities or even send Christmas cards. During this time a lot of our seniors are in isolation and this could really make their day.
Merry Christmas from the KGC family to yours!
On November 30, 2020 we asked Caregivers to bring in at least one non-perishable food item or more each week until today, 12/22. Each week when the Caregivers donated, their name was entered into our drawing for a $50 bill. The winner is....
Continuing with giving the gift of self, homemade coupon books are a sweet, fun gift to give loved ones. If you have done this or plan on doing this let us know some of the things you have put in yours or plan on putting in yours.
As we age, physical and mental changes may make it more difficult to perform activities of daily living that were once easy. When this happens, senior citizens may need help from others in order to sustain a better quality of life. Below are a few signs your loved one may be ready for a Keeping Good Company caregiver. If you are wondering if it is time to hire a caregiver for yourself or a loved one we have a list of signs on our blog https://kgcseniorcare.com/helpful-tips/how-do-i-know-when-its-time-to-hire-a-caregiver/.
One of the services we offer at Keeping Good Company is companionship. During the pandemic loneliness has doubled for seniors. Our caregivers can help with that! We can help your loved one call or even video chat with you. Also, while we are there we can check and make sure they have enough essential hygiene supplies such as toilet paper, soap and especially food. Sometimes we are even allowed to enter facilities that families are not. Our Company Vision is: "We value our relationships with clients, their families, and our employees. We value our reputation of having professional, trusted, compassionate, and knowledgeable caregivers. We value the continuing education of our staff and the community at large." During the pandemic we have been doing just that. We keep our staff and family up to date with the latest information. All of our caregivers wear masks and come into the office to do weekly wellness checks. If you would like to discuss more about this service give us a call at 573-289-9767.

Many times, caring for a client involves family, so Keeping Good Company Senior Care at Home can also play a role in providing “respite care” for the family caregiver (i.e., a wife caring for a husband or a daughter/son caring for her/his parents). Constant caregiving can bring considerable stress because the caregiver’s focus is centered on the one needing care. Very often, we see that when we give relief with daily routines, allowing the family caregiver(s) more time for themselves, the relationship strengthens. Read more about respite care on our website. https://kgcseniorcare.com/services/respite-care/
