Looking back at travel photos over the years, looking for some of our favorites. Sometimes your first pass you overlook one that you shouldn't have. This is one of them. Eight years ago we spent a month in Paris with the kids. Each day we would walk and walk and walk. This day we decided to sit on the steps at Trocadero, overlooking the Eiffel Tower. This dance flash mob popped up while the girls were sketching this most famous of Paris landmarks. Needless to say, with a rangefinder (#zeissikon) in hand Keith photographed the intimacy of these couples. This one photo had been overlooked but now I'm pulling it out of the deep depths of millions of photographs in our travel archive.

Mi Familia Vota, the Arizona Coalition for Change, and an individual voter registration organizer have won a lawsuit to extend the Arizona voter registration deadline to October 23rd. The plaintiffs argued that the COVID-19 pandemic stymied typical voter registration efforts. In response to that lawsuit, a federal judge in Arizona issued an order Monday evening extending the voter registration deadline from October 5th to October 23.

Pep would have turned 100 today. I’m super emotional as I reflect back on the type of man he was. In fact he has been a guiding light for me my entire life. Always honest, he called it like he saw it, always respectful, always positive and always my biggest supporter. He and Nana were the rock in my childhood, always there for me, always encouraging, always loving me so so much. Their home was a sanctuary filled with love. I am forever grateful to have had him in my life for so long. He died a few weeks before I met Keith almost 20 years ago and I oddly feel like he was somehow behind us meeting each other even though they never met. It was devastating when he died but I came to realize that he lives within me, his kindness, his sense of humor, his hard work, his dedication to family. He was a character and I miss him and love him more than ever. ❤️
