We have hosted Job Shadow Days for high school students for 16 years, impacting more than 200 students from Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Chester counties. One year, we partnered with IKEA to provide individuals with a chance to experience the environment of a fast-paced store.
Two years ago, Pennsylvania's Office of Developmental Programs allowed birth families to provide Lifesharing with a loved one and KenCrest offers this service.

KenCrest is continuing to provide meals for enrolled children and their families during the pandemic. Through our Grab-N-Go program during the month of September, 40 families picked up 173 boxes for a total of 1730 meals. In October, 38 families picked up 162 boxes for a total of 1620 meals.
Yesterday we celebrated our 2020 KenCrest Masters event, highlighting 115 years of our Agency’s wonderful work and dedication to those we support. In our Community Medical Homes and Transitional Care Homes, we focus on providing safe, community-oriented options for people regardless of their level of ability or challenges they face. Each location provides a family-like atmosphere for those we support.

KenCrest’s Early Learning Centers had to close unexpectedly in March for several months due to COVID-19 restrictions, but continued to be a community hub during the pandemic. KenCrest delivered more than 50,000 meals to our students, ensuring they had access to nutrition. Since August, our schools have been back in session, in-person and virtually.

During December 2020 in response to COVID-19, the Early Learning Centers distributed 496 weekly boxes of food containing 4,960 meals to over 130 families with enrolled children.
For the entire year of 2020, 5,154 weekly boxes of food containing 72,150 meals were distributed to nearly 550 families with enrolled children.
These three ladies from community living rang in the new year with balloons 🎈hats, noise-makers 🎉 and some sweet treats!
Ben loves parades and took the news hard when the Fourth of July and Christmas parades were cancelled due to COVID-19. His friends decided to surprise him with something special, bringing a festive and socially-distanced mini-parade to his front yard.
