Latest Kentucky Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center news

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation while we work through this unprecedented time. Beginning April 27th, we can begin scheduling elective procedures, although there will be some limitations due to backorder and supply shortages. Our staff will begin calling patients that were previously on the schedule and had to cancel their appointment due to the Pandemic. Please be patient with us during this time, as we will not be working at full staff capacity. Please adhere to the following health and safety protocol Prior to your appointment, visit our website to print your new patient forms, as well as COVID-19 forms, and complete them before arriving at the office. Please bring your dental insurance and photo ID with you. When you arrive, call the office and wait in your car. We’ll call you when we’re ready to take you to the treatment area. To minimize the number of people in our office, please do not bring siblings, friends or other family members to your appointment. When parents/guardians accompany children, we will allow one parent rather than both, as we will continue to follow social distancing guidelines. If you or any family member have a fever or mild flu-like symptoms, PLEASE do not come to the office. Thank you again for your understanding and cooperation.
Kentucky Oral Surgery would like to thank everyone for their patience as we adjust our schedule during this health crisis. We are taking every precaution to provide a safe place for you to get urgent treatment during this difficult time. We’re asking anyone requiring treatment to make an appointment; we are not seeing patients on a walk-in basis. When you arrive for your appointment, call the office while you remain in your car. We will come get you when we’re ready and take you directly to the treatment area. Please do not bring any siblings, friends or other family members with you to the appointment. Only one person can accompany you to the office if you need a driver following treatment. In addition to our standard sterilization/disinfection procedures of our equipment and treatment area, we will be disinfecting all common areas including the front/back desk, reception area, restroom and all high-touch areas throughtout the day. Be advised that we will be screening anyone entering our building to determine if they’ve traveled within the last 2 weeks, are showing signs of COVID-19 (coughing, fever or shortness of breath), as well as taking their temperature. For any patient that has an appointment, if you or any family member accompanying you have a fever or have even mild flu-like symptoms, PLEASE don’t come In the office. We want to thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented time in our country. We will get through this together.
COVID-19 ALERT Effective Tuesday March 17, 2020 we will not be performing elective dental procedures per the recommendations from the Kentucky Board of Dentistry and Governor Beshear. We are actively working to help "flatten the curve" on the COVID-19 virus and will follow the guidelines to protect the health and safety of our employees, their families and the general public. We will continue to see dental emergencies while following the guidelines set forth by local, state and federal authorities. If feel you have a dental emergency, please call our office at (502) 361-0134. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work through this together. Sincerely, Dr. Thad Schulten and staff
