I was born and raised in Idaho, but have lived in several states around the country. In 1993, I married my best friend Leslie and together we have 8 children (4 boys and 4 girls) and 11 grandchildren. My oldest daughter Chelsea passed away while I was attending Case Western Reserve dental school in Cleveland, Ohio. Leslie’s youngest son, Alex is autistic and handicapped, so we have been full circle with life’s challenges.
In 1987 I graduated from the University of Tennessee dental school and I have been providing dentistry to the great people of Idaho and Nevada since graduation. I am a recipient of the Dent-Supply International Merit award for my work in removable prosthetic dentistry and I am an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the Idaho State Dental Association (ISDA), and the South Central Idaho Dental Society (SCIDS).
I currently serve on the dental hygiene advisory committee for the College of Southern Idaho, and as board member of Idaho Dental Foundation. I have been a past president of the South Central Dental Society (SCIDS) and a past dental advisory chairman for Blue Cross of Idaho Insurance. I have also been an Idaho representative for PRECEDENT (practice based research) in the Northwest. I have also served in PEARL (practice based research) n the Northeast.
I am actively involved in my church and love to be outdoors and spending time with my family. I love to go 4-wheeling, trap shooting, deep-sea fishing, bowling, hunting, golfing and travel. Chase Funk, DDS I am originally from Hansen, Idaho and I am very thrilled to be back home in the Magic Valley practicing dentistry.
I completed my undergraduate studies at Idaho State University with a B.S. in Zoology. I then earned my Doctorate degree at Creighton University, in Omaha, Nebraska. I’m a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
I am dedicated to providing the highest quality care and expertise to patients. I believe in treating patients like family and educating them to make the best choices for their oral health care.
I reside in Twin Falls with my wife Janessa, and three children Nixon, Hazel and baby boy arriving in mid-April of 2017.
