Key West Express opened in 1987 as a tiny shop located where the Sandpearl Art Gallery now stands. A year later, the store was bought by Jeanne Blaine, who in 1989 hired Soozy Naylor as a sales clerk. The little beach boutique thrived, earning a respected reputation and loyal following along the way.
Realizing that Key West Express was her life’s passion and calling, Soozy bought the store in 1997. She expanded the square footage, added bold new lines of merchandise, and worked virtually every shift of every day for two years, turning Key West Express into a highly-acclaimed sales and service success story.
Key West Express has been recognized for its outstanding operations by major apparel manufacturers including Jams World and Lindsay Phillips Switchflops.
In 2005, Soozy moved Key West Express to its present location, once again increasing the store’s square footage, inventory and sales revenues. Options for further expansion are currently being investigated. Stay tuned…
