When we say we can turn the 🕰 back, we’re not lying 😎 Just look at how much younger and well-rested this patient looks, less than two months out from her upper and lower #blepharoplasty, along with a light #chemicalpeel to resurface her skin. It’s #Monday, and I quite literally hit the ground running 🏃🏽♀️ Kicked off the day with an intense Orangetheory workout, followed by a day in the OR lifting eyelids 🏋🏽♀️ , and now completing chart notes and fielding emails. On the daily, I communicate with my patients (even on the weekends!), whether in clinic, in the operating room, or by email and virtual visits. Staying in touch with my patients is paramount to me - I often reach out before and after procedures to see if there are questions I can answer, or to check on their progress after a surgery or in-office treatment. It is a sacred privilege to have our patients entrust their care to us, and it’s one I don’t take lightly! #MondayThoughts

It’s 🐪 day and we couldn’t resist sharing another beautiful #transformation with you! This patient underwent a #ptosis repair (eyelid muscle adjustment) and #blepharoplasty (excess skin removal) with an incredible result just THREE weeks later! Wounds are barely perceptible and her pretty eyes are on display 🌟

Skin tags can develop anywhere on the body. The eyelids are not exempt! Our patient had had this benign growth on her left upper eyelid for years, and it was now well within her visual axis. This specific eyelid lesion is called verruca vulgaris (commonly referred to as a wart), and it is most often due to the human papilloma virus (HPV) type 6 or 11. It has a characteristic cauliflower-like base, is flesh-colored, and grows near the eyelid margin. These warts can be carefully excised and oftentimes no stitches are required. Our patient looks great afterward (swelling is from the numbing injections), and can appreciate her central vision so much more!

#MondayMotivation 💫 It is incredible how much of a difference just a few millimeters make! Here we lifted both eyelids in a #ptosisrepair surgery done in the office. Note that I take these photos on flash to catch the red reflex at the pupillary center in order to create a point of reference for the amount of upper eyelid height improvement. For the lower eyelids, we opted a non-surgical route and performed #teartrough #filler injections. That is the beauty of combining different techniques to fit each patient’s individual goals. We love how beautiful and refreshed our patient looks!

Protecting your eyes from sun exposure! Light rays from the sun can reflect off snowy surfaces and cause UV-related skin changes that can lead to spots, lines, and even skin cancer. These two products are my go-to for applying to the delicate eyelid skin. First up is the SkinCeuticals AOX Eye Gel, which is an antioxidant product designed specifically for your eyelids and defends against free radical damage.
