Today we read 'Moon Festival Wishes' and heard about young Mei and how she and her family prepared to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. We talked about the importance of family, gathering together, and giving thanks. The children enjoyed specially prepared moon cakes as well.

Encouraging low-key activities during quiet time helps school agers develop independent play skills. Next time your child is having quiet time, consider creating signs of encouragement, friendship, and love to post in the yard for friends around the neighborhood. Invite your child to brainstorm simple sayings for his or her sign, such as “I love you”, “I miss you” or “Thank you”. Encourage your child to draw pictures of his or her friends at play or from the neighborhood. Post the signs in the front yard by a mailbox or on a tree. #learnon

It was circus week for our Bunnies. They did many activities, such as ring tossing, tightrope walking, scooping popcorns, and feeding the elephant. These helped to develop their fine and gross motor skills. They also had a lot of fun singing and dancing.
