Krystal is a North Carolina native who’s been taking care of children since a very young age. Being that she’s the oldest of 4 coming from a large family, Krystal is great at adapting to meet the needs of each infant as an individual. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, calligraphy, roller skating, and playing dance games. She’s always moving and dancing with the babies and is excited to help them explore the world around them!

I’d love to introduce you to our Bluebells (12-18mo) teacher, Ms. Amanda!
She was born and raised in Texas and has been working in childcare for about 3 years. Amanda has a variety of experience from being an in-home nanny to working in licensed childcare. She enjoys working with children from infancy to 4 years of age and has two boys of her own.
Her favorite part of working with children is being a part of how children grow, learn, and play. She is sure to enhance her classroom by helping each child learn at their own pace and is sure to make them feel proud of what they do and learn.
During her free time, She enjoys crafting, and car karaoke-filled road trips with her family!

Let me introduce you to one of our fantastic Lilies teachers, Ms. Vanessa!
Vanessa is an Austin native and has been working with children in various settings for about 7 years. She enjoys utilizing different approaches to meet the needs of her students while taking into account their different personalities and interests. Vanessa motivates all of the 18-24 month old children to utilize ASL signs in addition to her well-rounded curriculum. She really enjoys sharing new ways to explore the world and adds a nurturing environment for all of our Lilies. During her free time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, and cooking with her adorable little boys!
We are so thankful for all of Ms. Vanessa’s hard work and are so happy to have her in the Kiddie Acadmey family!

She is an Austin native and has been in childcare for a couple of years now and has worked with many ages, but loves being in our young 2’s class!
She loves seeing her students’ smiling faces and is motivated to bring a stronger bond and trust to her classroom and parents. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son and loves bringing that nurturing feel to all of her students!

This month the kindergarteners are learning all about the Arctic in class. Ms. Mitzi decided to bring that theme into their art class as well, guiding the children in creating chalk drawings inspired by the Northern Lights! Didn't they turn out amazing??!!!

This week our Worker Bee private kindergarten class celebrated their 100th Day of School!! What a blast they all had! They each created a shirt with 100 things at home to wear on this extra special day!
Throughout the day the children participated in a variety of 100 themed activities including completing exercises for 100 seconds each, sorting 100 fruit loops and stringing them to make a yummy necklace treat, using tweezers to sort and count 100 mini erasers by tens, making predictions and discovering how full a cup would be from 100 drops of liquid, practicing hand eye coordination and fine motor skills while using a hole puncher to punch 100's and last but not least, a 100 countdown for the 100th Day balloon drop!!
What a super fun and special day the kiddos had while celebrating 100 days of their hardwork and learning!!

The book we are reading today is called, "I Like Myself!" written by Karen Beaumont and illustrated by David Catrow.

Today I will be sharing a book with you called, "If Big can.... I can." written by Beth Shoshan and illustrated by Petra Brown. 📖🐨🐻
This is a charming little story about Koala and his friend, Big the bear. Koala and Big discover that they might not be able to do some things in the same way. Although the two friends are very different in size, they learn that doing some things in their own way makes them extra special and unique! Ultimately, the pair decides that despite their differences, it is more fun to do these things together! Enjoy!!

Our Bumblebee Prek kiddos have been hard at learning this month! From Dr. Seuss themed literacy and math activities, to learning how to be a good friend from the book, "Rainbow Fish" to exploring all things weather, there is no stopping these busy bees!
Ms. Amanda strives to make sure her students have the very best and well rounded curriculum that not only prepares them for their journey into kindergarten, but puts them ahead of the game!
It's Teacher Tuesday!!! Today's spotlight is on our Lilacs teacher, Miss Sarah!! Miss Sarah has been teaching for 9+ years and has been with our school since our opening! Her students have continued to inspire her and she says teaching is one of her favorite careers. Miss Sarah hopes that one day her students will think of her and remember "Miss Sarah showed me or taught me that!
Miss Sarah has a five year old daughter, Destini that is currently in our Bumblebees prekindergarten class! She and her family enjoy exploring the outdoors, exercising and traveling in their free time. She and her husband also own their very own food truck business!
