Today our friends in the butterfly classroom became Doctors and Veterinarians! 👩⚕️👨⚕️Our friends learned about what doctors/vets do for our community. They are very important community helpers, they help us feel better when we are sick or hurt. Each friend was able to apply band-aids to a "hurt baby or animal". They also used thermometers to take their temperatures and gave lots of hugs to comfort them.

One of our Community Workers in Oakley stopped by to say hello to our Raven friends!👮♂️

All classrooms were able to make their own yummy banana pancakes for AM Snack this morning. They all worked hard to measure, smash, mix, pour and flip their delicious creations!😋

Using our different senses to explore the pumpkins and gourds, "how does it feel?" "what color is the pumpkin?" "the gourd is green and yellow!" "let's count how many seeds we can take out of the pumpkin!" "the gourds have lines, kind of like stripes!"

Happy Halloween! We celebrated our Halloween by doing a Trunk R Peek with our friends and families #covidstyle. We had a blast with all the fun activities and games that were planned as well. Our little Caterpillars enjoying their outside time! All bundled up, they love getting their fresh air and going for a ride in the buggy! 🥰
The letter of the week for the Bumblebee classroom is "S". It was a sensory filled day! They helped each other create sensory bottles for the classroom that looked like space using baby oil, water, and food coloring. Another sensory activity was mixing together a big bag of green slime! Each of these activities of course started with the letter "S" and the class had a great time creating, observing, and feeling their sensory creations! 🚀🪐💫⭐️💚

Declan was having so much fun watching the hula hoop spin around, Reagan stopped to smell the lovely lavender plants we have, and Reese took a break from sliding down the slide to smile for the camera!
Our Bumblebee friend was so excited to build with the magnet tiles in his classroom! Using coordination and the strength in his hands and fingers he was able to construct and stack walls to create a tall building! Look at those fine motor skills- and of course that joyful smile 😄

Today our Butterfly classroom brought in the New Year with some confetti poppers! We pulled on the end of the poppers and watched as the paper confetti launched out into the air!

Everyone say hello to our bearded dragon friend! She was donated by a family currently attending KAO. She is 5 years old (her birthday is September 22nd) and enjoys eating cherry tomatoes and large crickets! Basking in the heat is something she also loves to do to relax. Her new home will be in the Flamingo classroom with all her new friends! Her new friends were able to vote on a name for her... The name for our bearded dragon friend is.... 🥁🥁🥁.. LUCY!! 💚

One of our friends from the Ravens classroom created an awesome "thank you" drawing for all the construction workers that have been coming to help make our new outside play areas! He was so thankful for them and the workers truly appreciated the thought that came with the drawing. 😊👷
