Annette Houston September 16 at 12:23 PM · Family and child homelessness is a crisis and it is not getting the attention it deserves. As the report shows, the number of children who experience homelessness continues to climb sharply, yet most states’ efforts are not sufficient to address the crisis. Also young mothers don’t know how to live independently so when they do receive housing subsidies within a year they are homeless why? Lack of skills. House Of Young Achievers will do just that. We will teach young moms the necessary skills it takes to live independently as well as give them tools to help them continue to be self-sufficient and be able to give their children stability and a safe place to grow. Our goal is to set our young mothers up for success, not put them in a position to fail.
