Fighting for justice doesn’t only have to happen in the courtroom..
Like you, we’ve been seeing a lot of corporations and businesses coming out with “position statements” on racial discrimination and racial justice. While we commend these efforts to make their positions known, we don’t think we need to draft a long letter to state the obvious: Racism is wrong. We’ve been fighting for fairness and justice in the criminal justice system for all 16 years that we’ve been in business, and over 20 years as practicing attorneys, and we’ll continue to do so. God bless and stay safe.

Earlier this year, we put up a sign on our building in solidarity with the millions of people across this country who took a stand against racial injustice which we see every day in the criminal justice system. Over the course of the summer and fall, we received many phone calls and emails thanking us for publicly taking a stand against racism and for being leaders in the community. Sadly, someone ripped our sign down last night, and threw it in our dumpster. Every person at our firm works very hard to fight for justice every day, and this is not going to keep us from doing what we do best. We will always stand for racial equality and will fight racism at every turn. There’s still work to do.
