For those of you who are not aware, SB276 takes away a Medical Doctor’s ability to grant a child a medical exemption for vaccinations in the state of California.

Instead, this decision would be left to the Department of Public Health. Furthermore, as the bill states, there are only FOUR contraindications that the DPH can use. In contrast, the CDC and FDA have compiled a much larger list of precautions and known adverse effects that include other diseases, post-vaccine reactions, and genetic risk factors!

Under this bill, a child who experiences febrile seizures post-vaccination would not qualify for an exemption. Under this bill, a child who has an autoimmune disorder would not quality for an exemption.

I’m not anti-vax. I’m anti enforcement of CDC schedule. We are individuals with individual risk factors, thus, NO schedule is right for everyone.
