To those that support the riots, believe all cops are bad or attack firefighters take a minute and remember this! 343 Firefighters and 222 Police Officers lost their lives trying to save others. At no time did these men and women give a thought to the color, gender or political affiliation of those they were trying to save. No Firefighter or Police Officer that day placed their safety first, it was all about those trapped in the towers, it was about their oath to serve their fellow citizens and simply do their jobs.

Every time that tone goes off, a paramedic, firefighter, EMT, police officer, tow truck operator, or other rescue personnel is startled awake, jumps out of bed, gets dressed and is en-route. They put their loved ones aside and focus on those in need, despite the dangers that await them. Regardless of the hour, the weather conditions, the holiday or event - when needed, they promptly respond.

It is time to do that 'Move Over Shuffle'! Let's make sure all of our responders get to go home.
Remember, Texas law requires motorists to move over or slow down for police, fire, EMS, Texas Department of Transportation vehicles and tow trucks when they are stopped on the side of the road with emergency lights activated.
Specifically, Texas law states that a driver must either:
Vacate the lane closest to the applicable vehicles stopped on the side of the road (if the road has multiple lanes traveling in the same direction),
or
Slow down 20 mph below the speed limit. (If the speed limit is below 25 mph, the driver must slow down to 5 mph.)
Drivers should only move over if they can do so safely and legally; otherwise, they should slow down.

Please slow down and move over. Again tonight..2nd time in two weeks one of our fleet was rear ended, almost killing our driver Trey.
Please Fairbanks wake up, hang up, and just drive with responsibility.
Last week Vulcan towing in Anchorage lost a driver to this exact same scene and scenario.
We all want to go home and be with our loved ones at the end of the work day ..so watch for flares, lights and reflective suites..

We made this video in hopes that we could spread awareness for the importance of the "Slow Down, Move Over" law. When you see any vehicle stopped on the side of the road including TOW TRUCKS, always reduce your speed and try your best to move over in the other lane. Just a friendly reminder from us here at Trans Tech Towing.
Let say a prayer for the tow operators emergency responders. A pray for the families involved. A pray for a city that took a devastating blow.
