Here are a few photos of the Krahmer Law Firm, PLLC library. These are some of the books I inherited from my dear father. He had quite an extensive law library from his teaching career at Texas Tech Law School. He donated many of his books to the Texas Tech Law Library, too! Thank you, Daddy!

Announcement: Krahmer Law Firm, PLLC Publication Notice
Date: October 29, 2020
Alyssa Krahmer’s article entitled, “Tips for Running an Effective In-House Legal Department,” has been published in this November’s edition of the Dallas Bar Association’s Headnotes. The article provides a number of best practices and suggestions to corporate counsel on how to run a company legal department in a smoother and more resourceful manner. Building and managing an in-house legal department is both an art and a science that takes years of experience and access to a network of subject matter experts to do well. Ms. Krahmer has over twenty years of in-house counsel experience and established Krahmer Law Firm, PLLC to provide in-house counsel-style legal services to small and mid-sized companies that do not yet have their own legal departments.

I had some time to kill very early this morning and decided to race over to SMU Law Library, one of my very favorite places to do legal research. Sadly, the library is still closed due to the COVID-19 virus. The lobby was open though. I was able to engage in social distancing, as I was the only one there most of the time, save for a few students trotting through the building using it as a short-cut. I love the Spanish-style lobby with the elegant paintings of various former law deans. It sort of reminds me of the old days when I would go the the Texas Tech Law School with my dad as a kid. My dad's spirit was definitely with me this morning (he used to write guest articles for the SMU Law Review).
