Beginning today, UH is opening COVID-19 vaccine pre-registration to those within Phase 2D, as outlined by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). This group includes any individual older than 16 years of age. Those within ODH Phase 2D, as well as those in all previous phases, can pre-register through the UH COVID-19 vaccine pre-registration website (link below). Once a patient is pre-registered, UH will contact that patient via text or email when appointment times become available. Patients who do not have internet access can call 216-844-3339. UH is distributing vaccines by appointment only. At this time, patients will not be able to choose which type of vaccine they would prefer to receive, but patients will be informed about what type of vaccination they are receiving and may choose to defer their appointment based on available information. According to clinical trials, all authorized vaccines have been shown to be highly effective in preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19.
