Dear Kumon Families, We here at Kumon would like to remind all of our families old and new of what we are doing to maintain a safe environment during the pandemic. We continue to follow the CDC recommendation of reduced group sizes, this means we are operating at a maximum of 14 students every hour, 5 early learners and 9 in the main classroom as well as 7 staff members. Tables are spaced six feet apart. Protective shields have been added to the front desk and the early learner’s tables where the students work one on one with teachers. Students will need to ask permission if they need to leave their desk. Bathroom passes are to be used and to eliminate crowding in the hallways. Bathrooms will be cleaned between uses by a staff member. The waiting room has been removed and check in has been altered. All students, parents, and employees must wear masks, temperature checks will be done at the door and students must either wash their hands when they arrive or use hand sanitizer. Students and staff must wear masks at all times while in center. No Exceptions. Families will now have to schedule their in class sessions. Students will be able to come in once a week for 50 minutes. Sessions can be scheduled for 3:00, 4:00, 5:30, and 6:30. The ten minutes between each of the scheduling blocks will be used as a time for the staff to clean the center. The bathrooms will be cleaned with a U/V cleaner as well as be wiped down with cleaning products. The classroom and check in areas will be wiped down with cleaning products every hour and staff will sanitize their hands between each session. A U/V filtration system has been added to the air conditioning unit to reduce risk airborne viruses. Families have the option to do an online zoom session in addition to their in class session or do two online sessions if you prefer to not come into the center. For Zoom sessions please call the center at 407-656-9062.
