In my work with adults and children, I have a deep interest in helping you find, nurture, and develop your strengths and goals within a supportive therapeutic relationship. Sometimes it's challenging to live by our deepest values, and I am honored that my work allows me to explore with you how you can live in accordance with what you value most. I'm moved by my work, which allows me to know people in deep ways, attend to your experiences on meaningful levels, and offer support in your moments of need.
Psychotherapy can help anxiety, depression, stress, and life changes with which we need assistance; shaping and reshaping our internal landscape to get us back on our path. It can be scary making the decision to reach out and ask for help, and I want you to know that I understand how brave it is to enter therapy, and how much I respect the strength you show in making the choice to begin to heal. I offer a safe and respectful space in which we can explore your experience together, rediscovering and nurturing your natural resilience and strength.
I offer a mix of relational, psychodynamic, emotion-focused, attachment-based, and mindfulness practices to help you with these challenges, and I am particularly committed to and and experienced in using a variety of depth approaches to help you make truly deep and long-lasting change and to help you find deeply buried strengths under challenges that may have been nearly lifelong. For children and adolescents, I offer a similar, relationally-based therapy infused with play, art, depth, and mindfulness practices, but with children our conversations occur mainly through the extraordinarily expressive mediums of art and play.
