My mother Marilyn died in 2002 four months before my wedding at the age of 55 and my father died in 2006 at the age of 59 one year after my daughter was born. Both died of sudden cardiac death due to heart disease. When my parents died, there weren't as many treatments and procedures available as there are now, that could have saved their lives. To honor them and their legacy of giving and love, I give in their memory to allow other patients like them to have access to the extraordinary care to allow them the chance to live longer lives with the ones they love.” - Veronica Chiesi-Brown
