Attorney Michael LaCava studied History, Political Science, and Religion at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. Following his graduation Magna Cum Laude in 2007, he worked as a manager in the hospitality industry and helped start and manage a successful small business. A few years later, he applied and was accepted to the University of Florida Levin College of Law and began his legal studies as a Gator.
During his schooling, Michael clerked for two firms and received experience in such varied areas as Personal Injury, Criminal Law, Labor and Employment, Family Law, Contract Law, and Business Law. Following graduation, Michael passed the Florida Bar and founded the LaCava Law Firm, LLC. Thereafter, Michael relocated with his wife and two kids to the Chicago-land area to be closer to family.
Following passage of the Illinois Bar, Michael continued his practice with the goal of delivering prompt, personal, and excellent legal service to each client. Michael practices in the areas of Real Estate, Business Law, Contract Law and Negotiation, and Estate Planning. Michael is licensed in both Florida and Illinois, and especially enjoys working with small businesses and startup companies.
