Dr. Chavis specializes in pediatric psychology and is clinical director of psychosocial services in Johns Hopkins All Children's Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. Previously, Dr. Chavis was a private practitioner and consultant evaluator for the Early Steps program of Florida. Dr. Chavis earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Illinois School of Professional Psychology-Argosy University. She completed a pediatric internship in clinical psychology at New York Center for Child Development with emphasis on early childhood development and trauma. Dr. Chavis continued to specialize with fellowship at Andrus Children’s Center focusing on trauma, parent-child interactions and maternal mental health.
