Happiest of Birthdays to our Dr. Lisa Richey!! #30
There is a school of thought in dentistry that says charge a fee for personal protective equipment for the extra expense and effort of all the new Coronavirus protocols, usually $20 - $25 in this area.
We just are not going to do that. A clean and safe dental office is a baseline, not an optional luxury.
And, just so you know, we have not raised fees. At Lakeland Dental Care our goal is to keep all of us healthy and safe.
We hope this message finds you healthy during these challenging times that we all cope with COVID-19.
The Lakeland Dental Care Team is back in action! Drs. Abernathy & Richey are working this week without hygiene available due to State Phase in protocols. Hygiene will begin Monday, May 4, 2020 with certain restrictions for another week. There will be some new and unfamiliar procedures but everything is done with your health and the health of the community in mind. Our staff will help you in following the established guidelines. We are excited to be back and look forward to seeing everyone!
IMPORTANT: If you are infected with COVID-19 or think you may have been infected, please contact us in advance before coming in. This way we can instruct you on where to go and how to proceed for the safety of all.
We are here for you, as always.

We hope this message finds you and yours healthy as the COVID-19 coronavirus impacts our community.
The Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners has mandated that dental offices only provide certain services through April 1, 2020. Routine cleanings will be rescheduled. If you are scheduled during this time for work on the doctor’s side a lot of these procedures are permissible and will be performed unless you personally hear otherwise from us. Emergencies, broken teeth, infections and the like are permissible to treat so please call if you have an urgent issue. We are sorry for the inconvenience and disruption and ask for your understanding in these unusual times.
IMPORTANT: If you are infected with COVID-19 or think you may have been infected, please contact us before coming in. This way we can instruct you on where to go and how to proceed for the safety of all.
Contact us with any questions. We are here to help you.
We are aware of the concerns about the coronavirus and we are taking steps to protect ourselves and our patient population.
Sign in sheets will now be filled in by the receptionist. We have adequate supplies of masks, gloves, disinfectants and TOILET PAPER! We are following our usual best practices for sterilization procedures.
If you have traveled to any coronavirus hot-spots in or out of the country, have reason to believe you have been exposed to the virus or have a cough, fever or shortness of breath we ask that you not have a dental visit until you are clear of symptoms for 14 days. We will screen for symptoms and possible exposure for all incoming patients.
It is important, especially in times like these to have a sense of community and personal responsibility. This too shall pass.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
We will be closed for the holidays until January 6, 2020! Looking forward to another great year! 🦷 🎄
