Interesting..... Purdue Pharma, the pharmaceutical giant behind the opioid OXYCONTIN, now seeks to exit bankruptcy protection with a $10 billion plan to transform itself into an organization which will funnel profits towards fighting the opioid abuse crisis.
Since 2000, almost 500,000 people have died from prescription painkillers like OXY, and illegal opioids such as heroin and fentanyl.
Some accuse the Sackler family, who own Purdue, of trying to "get away with murder" - cause the problem, now seek to solve it.
