October is Breast Cancer Awareness month! Did you know that Neeley Farms grows PINK pumpkins?! Yep....what’s even better is that $5 from every pink pumpkin that is purchased during the month of October is donated back to The Pink Pumpkin Foundation for breast cancer research. Last year we sold 57 pumpkins and were able to donate $285! This year, we want to double that!!!! Breast cancer has touched so many of us in one way or another. How to care for succulents (and not kill them)...
We love our succulents in the home as they make wonderful houseplants! Once we discover the succulent routine, they are actually incredibly easy to care for.
👉 Give succulents as much light as possible. They love spending their time in the sunlight (south facing window).
👉 Wait until the plant’s soil is completely dry before you water it. And when you do, be sure to water it thoroughly until the excess water drips out of the bottom.
👉 You can use a cactus soil or a mix of well draining soil blend of your own. Too much moisture... the roots will rot.
👉 Use a container with drainage holes... if using cute containers such as a tea cup, adjust watering accordingly.
👉 You can jam pack your succulents together tightly in the container. They have shallow roots...so load them up for that full look!
Number One Tip: When in doubt, don’t water. Over watering succulents is the easiest way to kill them!
