Project Highlight: Charleston Trade Center is a 787-acre industrial park currently under development near Summerville in Berkeley County. The Center has plans to build several buildings with more than 2.8 million square feet total.
Landmark Construction was hired to provide site work for the park’s roadway and infrastructure as well as multiple building pads.
Tilt-up construction is the process of concrete panels being tilted into a verticle position and set on foundational footings to form the external construction of a building. The panels are created on the job site, followed by concrete being poured into the forms, to then be tilted vertically. Here you can see a concrete tilt panel being erected at our Floor and Decor project. #throwbackthursday

Soil stabilization alters building site soil to improve durability and strength. In Charleston, especially along the coast, soil stabilization is an important consideration before beginning pad construction.
Farm equipment isn’t what it used to be and has evolved largely over the years. In an effort to keep our operators educated with this modern equipment, we had Blanchard Equipment come out yesterday and give some hands-on training to keep our team working at their best.
The cut-off saw is one of the most versatile and widely used tools in our arsenal, but it can also be one of the most dangerous. Wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment, utilizing a proper stance and positioning, and applying dust control via the internal water feed system are three major components of making a safe and successful cut.
