Navin Hukmani, DDS is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics who offers compassionate and comprehensive orthodontic services at Lansdowne Orthodontics in Leesburg, VA and South Riding, VA. Dr. Hukmani uses his exceptional clinical skills to provide the most up-to-date orthodontic techniques for both adults and children. Also, he specializes in growth modification treatment and airway focused orthodontics for the treatment of sleep apnea and related issues such as TMJ pain and discomfort.
Graduating with bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering and biochemistry from the University of Maryland at College Park, Dr. Hukmani later earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore Dental School, graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. In 2002, Dr. Hukmani completed his residency in orthodontics and dento-facial orthopedics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
In 2007, Dr. Hukmani voluntarily completed requirements to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. This effort in continuing education is unique in that it applies earlier classroom work and conventional continuing education to the real world of patient care, culminating in the presentation of treatment results for critical review by a panel of nationally respected peers. This certification includes a written examination, oral exam, and case presentations, and he will also undergo rigorous re-examination maintenance at scheduled intervals through his career.
Besides his diplomate training, Dr. Hukmani is associated with the American Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the National Dental Honors Society
Dr. Hukmani and his wife, Monica, have lived in the Washington metropolitan area for more than 35 years. Dr. Hukmani and his family love a variety of outdoor sports, traveling, and photography to record their wonderful memories.
