After earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Dr. Scortt went through an extensive foot and ankle surgical residency at Hugar Surgery Center in Elmwood Park, Illinois. He went on to become board-certified through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and continues to stay current with medical developments and training.
Larry D. Scortt, DPM’s private practice is home to some of the most advanced technology available. Patients can receive treatment for common foot and ankle ailments, including plantar fasciitis, bunions, ingrown toenails, toenail fungus, and warts, right in the office. Dr. Scortt also specializes in diabetic foot care, where he focuses on preventing and treating diabetic wounds.
Although Dr. Scortt often recommends preventive solutions and conservative treatments before surgery, he gives patients the education they need about all of their treatment options. This allows patients to be involved in the decision-making process.
Dr. Scortt is on staff at Saint Agnes Medical Center, so he can even perform podiatric surgeries, if needed, in one of Fresno’s most modern hospitals. He also holds hospital privileges at Clovis Community Hospital, as well as Fresno’s Community Regional Medical Center and Renaissance Surgery Center.
