Smoke detectors. Where should these be in your home? Every bedroom, outside each separate sleeping area, and on every level of your home (including the basement). Age matters when it comes to smoke alarms and should be replaced AT LEAST every 10 years. There is a manufacturing date on the back of these so you can check. These should be tested, by hitting the test button at least once per month.
