Laura Kim, MD, FACOG, a urogynecologist, specializes in treating women with urinary leakage and pelvic organ prolapse, including a dropped bladder, uterus, and rectum. Dr. Kim is the director of urogynecology and reconstructive surgery in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens and an assistant professor of clinical obstetrics and gynecology at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Kim creates individualized treatment plans, provides patient education, and employs both conservative and surgical care approaches.
After graduating from Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Kim completed her residencies at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center and served her fellowship at New York University Langone Medical Center, where she received several excellence in teaching awards. She is double board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery and obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Kim is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society and fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is fluent in English, medical Spanish, and conversational Korean.
