When I meet someone new in my OR (new nurse, tech, etc), the first question I ask them is “Do you know karate?”. The answer is usually “no”, and then I play 20 questions to get to know them a little better.

This is me holding several syringes of fat that I harvested from a patient before placing it back into another area. Common places include the butt (called a Brazilian Butt Lift), breasts, face, hips and more.
Fat is also a song by “Weird Al” Yankovic that I used to to rock out to when I was little. Who is brave enough to karaoke it and put it in the comments?? Free LCPS tshirts to anyone who does it!
“How durable are breast implants?” This is a question that I’m often asked in consultation for breast augmentation.

Check out the jawline definition on this beautiful patient before and approximately six weeks after Vaser liposuction to her neck! Vaser uses ultrasound technology to break up the fat, allowing for smoother removal.
Vaser can be used on any area that is amenable to liposuction, including abdomen, back, flanks, thighs, arms, and neck. I was the first plastic surgeon in PA to have Vaser 2.0, which is still the newest and best tech.

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness month.
A very important part of what I do as a plastic surgeon is breast reconstruction after cancer removing surgery. I work as part of a team of nurses, PAs, NPs, radiologists, oncologists, pathologists, and incredible breast surgeons like Dr. Kelley Smith and Dr. Eric Lundgren. Together, we are able to achieve incredible results for our patients right here in our area.

This beautiful patient desired a tighter, toned look, and I was able to achieve a really great result with a tummy tuck and liposuction at only about 8 weeks. Her results will continue to improve as her swelling decreases.

Tummy tuck revision with lipo! This patient came to me 4 years after a tummy tuck somewhere else with an unfavorable result. She was left with a very high incision, excess bulges on each side, and a thick scar in the front.
I performed lipo on her flanks to get rid of her bulges, cut out the old scar, and lowered it so that she can wear pants without the scar being up higher than the belt line.
This was a difficult but very satisfying case, and I was proud to be able to help her.
