This week, Haley Huhn and I had the absolute pleasure of presenting our very own Uniontown Area High School Students with their monetary awards and trophies for finishing 1st place in the Distracted Driving Billboard Contest. Their billboard was displayed on route 51 in March of 2020. We are so proud of this group of talented, creative students who have bright futures. After much discussion about the increasing risk do the recent rise of Covid-19, I along with City Council have decided to temporarily close City Hall to the public for 2 weeks.
All City Hall employees will continue to work in the building. Council and my main objective in these difficult times, is to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all City employees and our residents.
You are encouraged to utilize the drop box at the main entrance of City Hall. Sewage and tax payments can be made by check or exact amount in cash in a sealed envelope. Feel free to call City Hall with any questions, 724-430-2900. I will keep you updated when any new information comes my way. City Hall will reopen to the public on December 2, 2020.

We loved sharing the spirit of the holidays last night and giving back to our local community. The Fayette EMS received a donation $90,000 and our local Farmington Volunteer Fire Department received a donation $450,000. We would like to take this moment and thank them for everything they do each and every day.
For all you working parents out there trying to keep calm during the work day with kids learning remotely, childcare being suspended and Christmas right around the corner, we are with you! We can do this and we will prevail!
Additionally, thank you to all our frontline workers out there who don't have the ability to work from home, and are sacrificing for our families. We are grateful for you 💙

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for Fayette and Greene County effective through Tuesday at 12:30 PM. The warning is for the Monongahela River affecting Greene and Fayette, and the Mon River at Grays Landing affecting Greene and Fayette, and the Yough River at Connellsville in Fayette. Runoff from recent rain, combined with snow melt in the higher elevations will lead to flooding. Drivers should not attempt to drive through flooded areas.
