See you find a frame at Goodwill that you want to use for another picture. These are the steps of custom framer or a do it yourselfers would need to do. I felt bad disassembling this piece by E.M. Guinard. It’s dated 1970 on the back. She did the painting of mums in pastels. So I was kind of sad. It’s easier and cost-effective to get a new frame and pop it in. But sometimes you can’t find the perfect frame at the store.

1. Cut the wire in half on the back.
2. Twist counter clockwise with your scratching awl and take out eye hooks. Save
3. Remove push push points.
4. take out artwork
5. Clean frame.
6. Take out Glass carefully and clean on both sides I do this twice. 50 years worth of grime inside and out is disgusting.
7. Cut a new mat to fit your custom painting.
8. Clean frame with brush.
9. Replaced glass.
10. Put new artwork with new mat and acid free foam core on the back inside frame carefully. Try not to get any speck of dust in between the glass in the artwork.
11. Secure with new push points all around.
12. Remove old paper and tape and add new double stick tape and new craft paper on the back.
13. Trim off.
14. With your scratching awl measure about 1/4-1/3 of the way down and make a hole for the screw eyes.
15. Use your awl to turn the screw eyes in the frame carefully do not rip the paper.
16. Add new wire
