A late holiday card, but another happy client! 😊
Such a wonderful way to start the New Year when I open today’s mail and found a beautiful card from a divorce client.
Effective January 1, 2021, the Michigan Child Support Formula has changes specific, but are not limited to the following:
1) imputation factors (MCSF 2.01);
2) consideration of “additional medical expenses” (MCSF 3.04(B)(3));
3) health care coverage (MCSF 3.05(A)(3), 3.05(B)(1)(b), and 3.02); and
4) parent not required to pay support under certain determinations such as disability, mental incompetency, serious injury, debilitating illness and incarceration (MCSF 4.02).

Lawmakers approve expungement of first-time DUIs, automatic record clearing for juveniles
There is consideration of allowing the expungement of certain drunk driving convictions from a person’s record. Please note HB 6453 and the below link regarding the legislative analysis.
