January 11 at 10:15 PM ·
COVID-19 vaccines are an important tool to help stop the pandemic. As of January 11, 2021, nearly 9 million people had received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Healthcare personnel and people who live in long-term care facilities are recommended to get COVID-19 vaccination first while vaccine supplies are limited, followed by frontline workers and people ages 75+. Next are people with certain underlying medical conditions, people 65–74, and other essential workers. Continue to do your part to protect yourself and others by wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet away from others, avoiding crowds, and washing your hands often.
