About

Georgetown’s Criminal Attorneys, Your First Line of Defense in Central Texas. Our firm has a long and successful pattern of favorable outcomes in difficult cases in Williamson County, the toughest county in Texas on crime, and we have documentation to prove it. We thoroughly and aggressively investigate cases, from the moment we are hired, to build the best possible defense. We fearlessly try cases that need to be tried, but seek first to obtain a dismissal/favorable settlement, if a trial can be avoided If a trial is necessary, we have a documentably high acquittal rate. Our attorneys have cordial and long-term professional relationships, based on genuine and mutual respect, with local prosecutors and judges, crucial for both obtaining fair trials and favorable settlements. We represent the criminally accused anywhere in Texas, and in federal court, although our caseload predominantly involves clients accused in Williamson, Travis, Hays and Bell Counties.

Say what you will about Trump, this is a very good thing he has done. I can’t begin to count the number of shattered lives of college boys, some of whom I have personally represented, utterly ruined by false rape accusations and unconstitutional and Kafkaesque Title IX protocols. Many rape cases are so weak, and the credibility of the accuser so doubtful, that detectives won’t even file charges. Under Title IX, however, not only is there no right to a jury or proof beyond a reasonable doubt, but (until Trump acted) there has been no right to confront the accuser, cross examine her, or even present witnesses in your own behalf. Accusations are usually very easy for the PC college administrations to prove, almost always leading to expulsion of the accused, and a permanent mark on his record. It is thereafter virtually impossible to re-enroll at any other institution of higher learning, after such Alice in Wonderland proceedings. These new Trump policies begin to correct such abuses. We still have a long way to go. https://apple.news/AY0N0OayXTU2unPX7zf8Twg APPLE.NEWS Trump administration releases new campus sexual assault rules in the midst of the pandemic — Vox
I’ve been practicing law in this strange county for 35 years, and just when you think it can’t get any more absurd, this story comes along. Honestly, I cannot come up with an adequate adjective for it. https://www.kxan.com/investigations/investigation-ordered-into-williamson-county-judge-for-violating-his-own-stay-at-home-order/ KXAN.COM Investigation ordered into Williamson County judge for violating his own stay at home order
The First Amendment: it will take you less than 30 seconds to read the whole thing. When is the last time you did? May I suggest there’s never been a better time? I wonder what all our well-meaning, “we know best” tyrants truly believe about the “freedom of assembly” clause. Clearly, not much. CONSTITUTIONCENTER.ORG The 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution
Saul Goodman...on avoiding jury duty. Better Call Saul February 21 at 5:54 PM · You didn’t do the crime, so don’t do the time. Stream the new season of Better Call Saul now on AMC.
One thing I’ve learned in 40 years as a lawyer, especially when you’re in an unfamiliar town: always eat where the cops eat. A Mills County deputy told me me to get the chicken fried steak at this Goldthwaite eatery...boy, was he right: one of the best I’ve ever had!
Tough to find mercy in Mills County, I was told…but I did, for a grateful client! Also found a Confederate Memorial on the courthouse lawn. Apparently, the good folks of Mills County have not lost their mind, like the rest of the country, and still unapologetically honor their history and heroes.
