I see many TV Advertisements from out of town lawyers bragging about the millions of dollars that they were able to get for their clients, which is great for the client, however, what they are not telling us is that most of those cases are NOT from El Paso. I, on the other hand, I am from El Paso, and Live in El Paso, and I will speak and/or meet with every client that requests a personal visit with me. I’ve been getting calls from people who were once arrested and now would like to get those arrest records wiped clean since criminal records create many problems for those that have ever been arrested. I’ve been told that it makes it harder to get a job, a promotion, to get a loan and even harder to getting into an apartment. The only people that qualify for an expunction, which is the process to getting those records destroyed, is by first having disposed of the charges by either winning in a trial and obtaining a not guilty verdict or by the charges being Dismissed. If your case was Dismissed or if you were found Not Guilty, you almost certainly qualify for an Expunction, but, if you plead Guilty and were either placed on probation or served time for the charges, you Do Not Qualify for an Expunction. Call me if your case was Dismissed or if you were found Not Guilty in order to begin the Expunction of those records from that arrest that once occurred.
